Overview

'Welcome to the desert of the real.' Morpheus wasn't joking. This AR experience for Southbank Centre makes you question EVERYTHING you're looking at. Pop on a Google Cardboard, look around your actual surroundings, and discover the dystopian layers lurking beneath everyday reality. Surveillance eyes. Corporate logos consuming everything. Digital artifacts corrupting what you thought was real. Art that stays with you uncomfortably.

Features

Android AR overlays procedurally-generated dystopian elements onto your actual camera feed—your real world, with unsettling additions. Google Cardboard keeps it accessible (no expensive headset required). The smartphone format is deliberately uncomfortable; we're ALREADY holding these devices all day, and now they're showing us something we'd rather not see. Southbank Centre/Animorph proved meaningful AR art doesn't need expensive hardware—just ideas that make you think differently about the device in your hand.
